In line with our philosophy of constantly trying to improve our service, we asked our manufacturers and suppliers for help in creating the following useful graphs which enable you to see a comparison of the various material properties. The information that they provide is based on manufacturers advise or opinion and is only intended as a guide
Long Term Service Temperature
Rigidity
Coefficient Of Friction
Machineability (based on advice)
Ease of Bonding (based on advice)

HB = Test samples which are placed horizontally will burn slowly accross the sample when the test flame is applied to one end.
V0 = Test samples which are placed vertically with a test flame touching the bottom of the sample, must extinguish within specified time and not burn to the top of the sample or drip molten material
B1 = Difficult to ignite
N/A = Tufnol are unable to supply a fire rating specifically relating to Kite, Whale and 1P/13 but do have many grades within their range which have very good ratings.
